With nearly 30 years of financial and operational experience, Sanjay joined Progress Partners in 2019 as an Executive-in-Residence and became a Managing Director in 2020, where he leads the Media and Commerce practice. He is also co-founder and a board member of Progress Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: PGRW), a $173 million SPAC focused on the adtech/martech, Media, and E-commerce sectors. Sanjay’s key strength lies in financial analysis, deal structuring, and an in-depth understanding of the technology, media, and telecom sectors (TMT), derived from his 25 years on Wall Street, first as an analyst and then as a portfolio manager, focused on public and private investments in the TMT sectors at Unterberg Technology Partners (co-founder) and Sankofa Capital (co-founder). Sanjay holds a degree in Accounting from Pepperdine University and an MBA in Finance from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business, where he has been a guest lecturer for the Venture Program. He currently resides in NYC with his wife and three children and enjoys all family related activities especially skiing, tennis, squash, cooking and travel.
