Dave Horvath joined Prairie Capital Advisors in 2023 and leads Prairie’s Sustainability and Compensation Consulting Practice. He is an experienced employee stock ownership plan (“ESOP”) professional, having advised privately-held and publicly-traded companies on compensation, employee benefits and ownership transition matters for more than 30 years. Dave has assisted clients in establishing and administering qualified employee benefit plans of all types including ESOPs, 401(k)s and pension plans. He has counseled clients on executive compensation matters including salary studies and implementing non-qualified deferred compensation plans. He has provided due diligence analysis of employee benefit matters for numerous transactions involving private equity and family offices. Dave also works with boards of directors, trustees and companies on mature ESOP consulting and sustainability. He is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“AICPA”) and the IL CPA Society. He is also a past chair of Members Retirement Committee – AICPA. Dave has written and presented on ESOP topics, compensation and employee benefit matters for the AICPA, The ESOP Association (“TEA”) and the National Center for Employee Ownership (“NCEO”).
