Robert Murphy Bio

Robert Murphy is a Partner in the Strategic Advisory Group at PJT Partners, based in New York. Mr. Murphy has 14 years of investment banking experience. Since joining PJT Partners’ predecessor firm Blackstone Advisory Partners in 2013, Mr. Murphy has advised on a number of high profile transactions. Prior to joining PJT Partners, Mr. Murphy spent seven years at Citigroup, spending three years working in the Media and Entertainment franchise in New York, and the four years prior in the TMT, Industrials and Financial Sponsors franchises in Sydney, Australia. While at Citigroup, Mr. Murphy advised on numerous advisory and financing engagements. Prior to Citigroup, Mr. Murphy spent two years at Greenhill & Co. in Sydney, Australia. Mr. Murphy received a Bachelor of Commerce with Merit from the University of New South Wales.
