Rakesh Patel is a Partner in the Strategic Advisory Group at PJT Partners, based in London, focusing on clients in the life sciences sector globally. Mr. Patel has over 20 years of experience and prior to joining PJT Partners, he was Co-Head of European Healthcare Advisory at JPMorgan (2008-2015). He has also worked in industry as the Global Head of M&A for Novartis Pharma and a member of the Pharma Finance Leadership team (2005-2008). He joined Novartis from Morgan Stanley, where he was a Vice President in European Healthcare Banking. Mr. Patel has worked on numerous landmark healthcare transactions with clients in large cap pharma, biotech, generics, OTC, animal health, healthcare services and medtech. He has also worked across all key advisory assignments comprising M&A, equity and debt financings. Mr. Patel is a Non-Executive Director of IOmet Pharma, an immuno-oncology focused biotech company. He received an MA and BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, UK.
