Jamie O’Connell is a Partner in the Restructuring and Special Situations Group at PJT Partners based in New York. He started working in corporate restructuring in 1996 and joined the group in 2004 when it was part of Blackstone. He was a Senior Managing Director at Blackstone at the time of the group’s spin-off to PJT in 2015. He has advised on mergers and acquisitions, special situation financings involving over $20 billion of new capital and debt restructurings involving over $100 billion of liabilities. Internationally, he has advised clients on matters in Asia, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Russia and South America. Since 2013, Mr. O’Connell has served as a guest lecturer at both Columbia Law School and Harvard Business School. He graduated magna cum laude from Notre Dame and received an MBA with honors from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
