In 2019, Spencer Rippstein was promoted to global co-head of energy & power investment banking at Piper Sandler. He has been with the firm since 1999 and has completed a wide range of transactions including mergers, divestitures, restructurings and capital raises. Rippstein focuses on the midstream & downstream and renewables & clean energy sectors, and has worked on over 100 successful transactions, representing approximately $100 billion in aggregate value. Rippstein graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School.
