John Tye Bio

John Tye is a managing director at Piper Sandler with more than 20 years of M&A experience with numerous middle-market clients on a variety of transactions. Tye joined Piper Sandler through its acquisition of Edgeview Partners in 2013. He had been with Edgeview for 10 years, founded the Business Services practice in 2006, and was a partner at the time of the acquisition. Tye previously worked in the mergers & acquisitions group at Morgan Stanley. He has also worked as a consultant at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). Tye attended the University of Georgia, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.
