Christian Hess is a managing director and the European head of the financial sponsors group at Piper Sandler. Prior to joining Piper Sandler for its continued European buildout in September 2021, Hess respectively headed Investec’s Private Equity Client Group, and was a founder member and European Head of UBS’ Financial Sponsor Group. Over the past 25 years, he has advised on more than 180 closed Private Equity deals across the large and midcap markets, and across all sectors throughout Europe. Hess is trilingual (German, English, French) and read law and Betriebswirtschaftslehre at Hamburg University before graduating with first class honors from EAP – European School of Management.
