Ted Garner is a veteran investment banker with nearly 25 years of experience advising clients on a wide range of transaction types. He has executed more than 70 engagements on behalf of top private equity groups and corporate clients and has significant industry experience across numerous sectors, including transportation and logistics, healthcare, aerospace and defense, automotive distribution, business services, diversified manufacturing, plastics fabrication, retail and distribution. Garner joined Piper Sandler in 2013 through its acquisition of Edgeview Partners, which he had joined as a partner at the time of Edgeview’s founding. He previously worked for Merrill Lynch and Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co., where he was named a partner in 1998. Following Bowles Hollowell’s acquisition by First Union Corp., Garner led the automotive and transportation group and was the lead banker responsible for private equity coverage. Garner attended Davidson College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in economics and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Garner earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.
