Bio

Mark Biché is a managing director in the financial services group at Piper Sandler. Biché has nearly 35 years experience advising banks, thrifts and finance companies on strategic matters. He has been directly responsible for initiating, coordinating and closing over 80 merger and acquisition transactions and over 100 public and private offerings of debt and equity. He also has structured and capitalized several private equity funds, an Internet-only bank, a hedge fund and an exchange fund. Previously, he was a managing director for 15 years in the investment banking group of Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P. Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill, Biché spent three years at RBC Capital Markets as a managing director in its financial services group and was a member of the firm’s fairness opinion committee. He joined RBC Capital Markets from McDonald Investments, where he spent 15 years, most recently as managing director in their financial services group, as well as operating head of its strategic acquisition committee, which was responsible for the firm’s acquisition program. Before that, Biché was an examiner with the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. Biché holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from John Carroll University.
