Kirk McIntosh is a managing director in the chemicals & materials group at Piper Sandler. McIntosh was one of the four founders of The Valence Group and a 26-year M&A advisory investment banker. For the last 17 years, he has predominantly focused on global M&A transactions exclusively in the chemicals and materials sector. During his career he has advised on over 40 closed transactions with a value in excess of $70 billion. McIntosh's experience covers both commodity and specialty chemicals. He has worked with acquirers and sellers of businesses and has been instrumental in advising on all forms of M&A and JV transactions, both public and private. Before establishing The Valence Group, he spent nine years with Bear Stearns located both in New York and London, prior to which he worked for HSBC Investment Bank. McIntosh is a qualified attorney and non-practicing member of The Law Society of Scotland. McIntosh earned a bachelor's degree in law and a diploma in legal studies from the University of Glasgow.
