Jon Salveson is the vice chairman of Piper Sandler investment banking. Prior to his current position, he was the global head of investment banking for seven years. Before that, Salveson spent his career at Piper Sandler building a leading healthcare underwriting and M&A advisory practice. In 1996, he opened the Piper Sandler office in Menlo Park, California, where he was instrumental in establishing a large technology and healthcare presence in Silicon Valley, including over 100 investment banking and research professionals. Salveson graduated from St. Olaf College and received a master’s degree in management from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He serves on the boards of Artivion (NYSE: AORT) and several private healthcare companies. Salveson is also a former member of the board of regents at St. Olaf College and the chairman of the endowment, as well as a former trustee of the Oakleaf Endowment Trust for the Minnesota Orchestra.
