Brian White is a managing director and co-head of technology investment banking at Piper Sandler. He joined Piper Sandler after its acquisition of DBO Partners in 2022. White focuses primarily on security, infrastructure and defense technology companies. He has over 25 years of experience in and around security and has advised on over $40 billion of transactions in security alone. Beyond his career as a banker, White has experience both as an operator and a senior government official. As an operator, he served as the president & COO at RedOwl, a cybersecurity company acquired by Forcepoint in 2017. As an advisor, he was a partner of the Chertoff Group, where he led their advisory business and established the company’s West coast technology advisory and investment banking practice. White also served as a senior official at the Department of Homeland Security, a professional staff member in both the United States Senate and United States House of Representatives, an associate at Booz Allen Hamilton, and a director at Lockheed Martin. White currently serves on the Leadership Council of Tipping Point and the Board of Northstar Teams Foundation. He holds a master’s degree from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, and a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University, where he was a Division 1 student athlete.
