A more than 30-year veteran in the investment banking industry, Gene Wallace serves as Managing Director for Pinecrest Capital Partners. Mr. Wallace’s experience spans transactions in the software, manufacturing, energy, aerospace, construction, technology, financial services, consumer goods and distribution industries. Prior to joining Pinecrest, Mr. Wallace served as a Managing Director at Barrier Advisors, Inc. He also has held leadership positions at other banking and financial advisory institutions, including Senior Managing Director of Commerce Street Capital, LLC, and Senior Managing Director of Investment Banking and Corporate Finance for SAMCO Capital Markets, Inc. Mr. Wallace also opened and headed the Dallas Corporate Finance Department for New York-based Lehman Brothers. He served as Managing Director of Rauscher Pierce Refsnes, Inc. and headed the corporate finance office for the major regional firm Rauscher Pierce Refsnes, now Royal Bank of Canada – Dain Rauscher Wessels. During his career, Mr. Wallace has initiated and carried out banking transactions with companies such as Texas Instruments, Texas Utilities, Centex, Southwest Airlines, UCCEL, Ken Davis Industries, Intecom, Enterprise Products, L.P., Vintage Petroleum, Doskocil Manufacturing, Rent-A-Center, Belmont Homes, Play-by-Play Toys, NCI Building Systems, Service Drilling and Varel Manufacturing. Mr. Wallace served as a navigator with the rank of Captain in the United States Air Force. He earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign.
