Bio

Lorenzo Zefferino, a Managing Director in the Investment Banking group and one of the firm's team leaders, is often sought by financial institution CEOs, CFOs, and Boards for his ability to create value-maximizing solutions for clients and implement the strategies that lead to their outcomes. Lorenzo has established a successful track record in structuring, negotiating, and executing matters relating to M&A advisory, public debt, and equity offerings, private placements, corporate defense, capital allocation, and valuation assignments primarily in the Northeast and across the United States. He has been credited with formulating several new corporate products within the investment banking industry and generating idea-based results that enhance current and future strategic positioning by placing decisions on a level playing field. This activity has led Lorenzo to advise on many transformational transactions, completing over $6 billion in deal value across a spectrum of investment banking engagements. For instance, Lorenzo sourced, structured, and advised one of the country's largest streaming service providers on its investment in a community financial institution (the first of its kind) and originated one of the largest capital offerings in the United States for a nationally scaled financial institution under the creation of a new investment security. Prior to his recruitment to Performance Trust, Lorenzo was a Director in the Financial Services Investment Banking group of Piper Jaffray, responsible for depository coverage primarily across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Before Piper, Lorenzo held senior positions in Stifel/KBW financial institutions M&A groups and PriceWarterhouseCoopers. Lorenzo graduated Magna Cum Laude from New York University, received a bachelor's degree in Economics, and was the recipient of New York University's Founders' Day Award.
