David joined Performance Trust in 2013 initially as an investment banking and ALM analyst, building a strong, fundamental understanding of the Performance Trust methodology and its application to the balance sheets of financial institutions. In 2014, he transitioned to the Trading Desk where he concentrated on credit analysis, opportunities within new issue underwriting, and the trading of structured financial products. David then co-founded the Capital Markets Group in 2016 with Mike Kelly. David now runs the Capital Markets Team, tasked with expanding and improving the investment opportunities we bring to our clients. Working with a broad range of issuers that are now largely underserved due to changes on Wall Street, the team specializes in creative financial solutions for problems faced by our issuer clients, while creating better risk / reward assets than would otherwise be attainable for investors. The team has become an industry leader in providing structural solutions for non-commoditized collateral types, first-time securitizations, and unique offerings, and has also built out an active whole loan trading and loan syndication desk. David is key in the analytical and quantitative components as well as the broader strategic philosophy of the Capital Markets methodology and spends large amounts of time educating our clients on the financial products available in the market - whether created here or not. David studied finance and economics at Gonzaga University and Colorado State University. He graduated from the universities' Honors Program summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business - majoring in Investment Analysis, Corporate Finance, and Economics. He is Series 7, 63, and 79 registered.
