Bio

Troy Broderick is a Partner in Perella Weinberg’s Advisory business. Based in New York, Mr. Broderick leads our business focused on strategic defense, shareholder engagement and activism, and also focuses on complex and contested M&A situations across all sectors globally. Prior to joining Perella Weinberg, he worked at Goldman Sachs, where he served as Chief Operating Officer of Global M&A, as well as Global Head of M&A Capital Markets. Earlier in his tenure at Goldman Sachs, Mr. Broderick was a founding member of what became their Activism and Shareholder Advisory practice, and worked on their Merger Arbitrage trading desk, where he originated trading ideas related to M&A and shareholder activism. Over the course of his career, he has advised corporate clients on some of the largest and most visible shareholder activism campaigns as well as many complex strategic transactions across industries, ranging from Media and Telecom to Metals and Mining. Mr. Broderick’s shareholder activism experience includes AT&T’s defense against Elliott Management, P&G’s defense against Trian Partners, and HP’s defense against Carl Icahn, amongst others. He has acted for AT&T, Dell Technologies, DuPont, Emerson, Fox Corp, Pfizer, S&P Global, VMWare, and other large public companies on complex, transformational M&A. Mr. Broderick earned a BA from the University of Cambridge and was a Herschel Smith Scholar at Harvard University.
