Bio

Mike Genereux is a Partner at Perella Weinberg Partners, joining the firm in 2020. He has worked on a wide range of restructuring and special situation assignments representing companies, ad hoc creditor groups, official creditor committees, corporate board committees, and acquirers and sellers of distressed assets. Mr. Genereux has 27 years of investment banking experience. He was most recently a Partner at PJT Partners for four years and served on the firm’s Management Committee, and before that he worked at Blackstone for thirteen years as a Senior Managing Director. Prior to that, Mr. Genereux worked at Credit Suisse First Boston, Merrill Lynch & Co, Barclays, PepsiCo, and Price Waterhouse. Notable assignments include 21st Century Oncology, A123 Systems, Aegean Offshore, American Seafoods, Allen Systems Group, American Tire, Aspect Software, Avaya, Avianca Airlines, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Caesars Entertainment, Catalina Marketing, CHC Helicopter, Conexant, Delta Air Lines, Dynegy, Edison Mission Energy, Exgen Texas Power, Fieldwood Energy, First Energy, Foxwoods Resort Casino, GateHouse Media, Global A&T Electronics, Global Eagle, GT Advanced Technologies, Hawker Beechcraft, Hertz, High Ridge Brands, Homex, Hostess Brands, Jawbone, Kodak, M*Modal, Molycorp, M Resort, Paradigm, Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation re. Mr. Genereux received a BS from Wake Forest University, where he is on the Board of Visitors for the Business School, and an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University.
