and access,
Dan joined Park Place as a Partner in 2024 having previously spent over 25 years advising on M&A at both PwC and Deloitte, being fortunate enough to lead award winning teams along the way. He is passionate about working with private and family businesses on all aspects of their corporate finance agendas. There are a number of markets and industries where Dan has particularly deep expertise and deal credentials, but Dan is better defined by his ability to advise private businesses as they consider their options, find stakeholder consensus and ultimately deliver a transaction on the right terms. His deal sheet includes transactions valued between £10m to in excess of £1bn. He also has very significant experience of ‘Special Situations’ M&A, most often being scenarios where financial underperformance requires a transaction to be completed more quickly and with a wider stakeholder / lender group to satisfy (alongside mainstream M&A, Dan led Deloitte’s National Special Situations team prior to joining Park Place). Dan holds degrees in both Manufacturing Engineering and Economics, and is a qualified ICAEW accountant. Prior to his career in finance he gained real world experience in manufacturing industries. When not working, Dan likes simply to be outdoors either walking, cycling or watching his kids and wife play sport. As someone who likes a challenge, he has climbed Kilimanjaro, cycled from Lands End to John O’Groats and still has plenty of other ambitions to tick off in the coming years.
