Prior to founding Parchman Vaughan in 1996, Ms. Vaughan was an investment banker with Ferris, Baker Watts, Inc. in Baltimore, Maryland. Before beginning her investment banking career, Ms. Vaughan served in the Overseas Private Investment Corporation's Special Assets Division, specializing in international loan workout and restructuring. Ms. Vaughan is an Independent Director of the Davis Series Mutual Funds. She has served as a member of the Board of Trustees of E.C. Montessori School and as a Board member of the Center for Education Reform and the Education Industry Leadership Board. She is a former member of the Financial Advisory Council of the Career Education Colleges and Universities organization and a former Editorial Advisory Board member of Private School Business Magazine. She has also served as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate/Guardian Ad Litem for abused and neglected children and an Ambassador for the Iron Disorders Institute. Ms. Vaughan has published articles in periodicals including "Enterprising Educators." Ms. Vaughan holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in International Finance from American University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business with a French minor from Stetson University. She is a member of the honor societies of Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma.
