With more than 20 years of investment banking experience, Darren has advised major corporations, privately held companies and founder-owned businesses across a range of industries on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, management buyouts and capital raises. Darren’s experience encompasses leadership roles at premier boutiques, a Canadian bank and a big 4 accounting firm. He was a partner at Orenda Corporate Finance, which was sold to E&Y in 2004. In 2005, Darren left Orenda to form and lead another independent boutique, Solaris Capital Advisors. He was subsequently tapped to start Scotiabank’s mid-market M&A team, where he co-led the team for a number of years. Most recently, Darren was a Partner and Senior Managing Director in Deloitte’s Corporate Finance group, which he joined in 2015. Darren holds a BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. Darren also holds a Corporate Finance designation from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
