Bio

Ulf is a Managing Director, bringing more than 25 years of experience in the TMT industry, including 20 years of experience in M&A and financing transactions to Oberon. Ulf has worked with a number of growth, middle-market and large-cap clients as well as PE and VC investors on a wide range of international sell-side, buy-side, and capital raising transactions. His sector expertise is in technology, media and telecom (TMT), with a particular focus on wireless technology, enterprise software, communications infrastructure, industrial applications, primarily in the B2B segment. Ulf has worked on 70+ transactions in 25+ countries with a total transaction value in excess of $15 billion. Prior to joining Oberon, Ulf was a Senior Advisor in the Alantra Technology Investment Banking team; founded CrossBorder Venture Partners, a boutique corporate development and corporate finance consulting firm; and was the U.S. Partner at Cartagena Capital an international technology focused boutique investment bank. Further, he did cross-border M&A at Trenwith Securities (now BDO Capital); cross-border M&A at Fredericks Michael & Co.; and Technology Investment Banking at UBS in London. In addition, Ulf was the interim CFO for Mobile Loyalty plc, a publicly traded mobile search and advertising company, and held various positions at Ericsson Mobile Networks in business development and product management. Ulf earned his International M.B.A. in Finance, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, for which he was twice awarded scholarships from The Wallenberg Foundation for International Business; and completed additional M.B.A. course work at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He earned his MScEE in Product Development from Lund University.
