Rob Dressler Bio

Rob Dressler is Managing Director with Oberon Securities. Rob was previously a Managing Director with BlueSquare Capital Advisors focused on mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising for technology, communications, and software companies. Rob has over 25 years of experience working with technology companies as an investment banker, venture capital investor, and in operational roles. He has a deep understanding of communications and enterprise technologies, including communications hardware, communications software, enterprise networking equipment, enterprise software, and SaaS. Prior to joining BlueSquare, Rob was a Partner with Redwood Capital where he was a member of the founding team. Over his 9 years with Redwood, Rob advised clients across a wide range of areas and transactions in the technology, communications, IT services and digital media sectors. Prior to Redwood, Rob was a Director with Internet Capital Group (ICG) where he led venture investments and provided strategic and operational support for ICG’s venture investment portfolio of technology and services businesses. Prior to ICG, Rob was a senior member of the management team at MapQuest.com where he was responsible for the marketing, business development and product management of MapQuest’s wireless applications and services. Earlier in his career, Rob was an Engagement Manager with the management consultancy Mitchell Madison Group and spent five years in AT&T’s communications hardware and services businesses. Rob holds an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science with Honors from Carnegie Mellon University.
