George is a Managing Director, bringing more than 30 years of investment banking experience to Oberon. He has completed more than 100 transactions for clients during his career in M&A, debt and equity financings, and financial restructurings. George has advised numerous middle-market companies and large corporations in a wide variety of industries including manufacturing and distribution, business services, consumer products, retail, transportation, health care, and technology. George began his banking career at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co. (now JP Morgan) in its leveraged finance/financial sponsor group. He then moved to Chase Manhattan (now JP Morgan) as an M&A specialist in Chase’s corporate development department, and subsequently as a senior banker in its Diversified Industries group where he lead its automotive and trucking practice. George then moved to FleetBoston Securities (now Bank of America) where he headed its New York regional corporate advisory group, advising middle-market companies in multiple industries on M&A and financing transactions. George was also a co-founding partner at Corporate Fuel Partners and a managing director at Dominick & Dickerman LLC, both middle-market-focused investment banking firms. George earned his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and his B.A., with Highest Distinction in Finance, from the University of Illinois.
