Bio

Gary is a Managing Director, bringing to Oberon over 25 years of experience in international merger & acquisitions, capital markets, corporate finance, IPOs, infrastructure project finance, and corporate management. Prior to joining Oberon, Gary focused on the sale and recapitalization of middle market companies, corporate development, strategic international joint ventures for Fortune 500 companies, family offices, high net worth investors, private equity and institutional investors across multiple industries including: branded food and beverage, retail, grocery, clothing, supply chain logistics, e-commerce retailing, electronic payments, autos, medical products, pharmaceuticals, industrial, oil/gas services, oil refining, power plants, utilities, CNG/LNG clean fleets, bio fuels, aerospace, defense, cyber security, internet data centers, telecommunications, media and cable television, and other advanced technology. While at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, he delivered structured business credit products for middle market business owners exceeding $20 million in net worth. He was instrumental in financing and delivering over $3 billion of telecom infrastructure, food retail logistics warehouse management information technology solutions to Fortune 500 clients across 30 countries. As President, GlobeNet Communications, Latin America, he helped deliver to South America the first 1.28 terabyte of submarine fiber optic internet backbone connectivity based upon Alcatel DWDM technology. This empowered the world’s largest international carriers, including Telefonica, France Telecom, Telecom Argentina, Telecom Italia, Deutsche Telecom, Embratel, Sprint, Intelig and Telemar Brasil, resulting in a multi billion dollar simultaneous merger and IPO in 2001. Gary earned his M.B.A. from the Anderson School of Business at UCLA and B.S. from UCLA, summa cum laude. He also completed biomedical engineering coursework for the MD/PhD program at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
