Jean is a senior executive at African Bank, Oaklins’ member firm in South Africa. He has experience in valuations, mergers & acquisitions, capital raisings and advising clients on public market regulatory requirements across a number of industries. Jean has also gained particular experience in debt advisory. Recent transactions include a number of debt advisory mandates, the disposal of an information technology company, the equity capital raise for a healthcare company and the take-private of an ICT and healthcare company. Jean joined African Bank Business and Commercial Banking’s corporate finance team in 2012 (at the time Grindrod Bank) from the bank’s treasury division, where he was involved in the expansion of the deposit base and facilitating fixed income sales. Before joining African Bank, Jean spent three years at PSG Online as an equity research analyst. Sectors covered included retail, general industrials and small-caps.
