Harold Takahashi Bio

Harold is a partner at Fortezza Partners, one of Oaklins’ member firms in Brazil. He has completed around 30 M&A transactions involving owner-managed companies, institutional investors and private equity firms, mostly in the healthcare sector and more recently in the tourism, services and financial industries. He also has extensive experience in managing post-merger integrations, building strategic plans and implementing zero-based budgeting. Some notable transactions include the sale of Boris Berenstein, an imaging diagnostics clinic, to DASA; the acquisition of LAFE, a clinical analysis player; the acquisition of SantéCorp, a healthcare startup; creating a joint venture with Odontoprev, the leader of dental plans in Brazil; and the acquisition of Labs D´Or, the largest diagnostics imaging player in Rio de Janeiro. Prior to joining Fortezza Partners, Harold worked at Fleury Group, a leading Brazilian healthcare company, from 2005 to 2019, having led the M&A team for nine years, and was also head of several other departments, such as FP&A, strategic intelligence and reporting. He has a business degree from the University of São Paulo (USP).
