Fokko Poldervaart Bio

Fokko is a partner at Oaklins Netherlands and leads Oaklins’ marine equipment team. With a particular focus on the marine equipment, oil & gas equipment, and general machinery and equipment sectors, former clients include VAF Instruments, Groku, Bloksma, NRF, Zephyr Trading, PK OEM Parts, SSM, KH Chemicals, Heritage Group and Rema lifting equipment. He has also advised companies active in equipment for leisure boats, such as the sale of Vetus to Yanmar; specialized yards, like IHC Merwede; and global companies such as Cargotec/MacGregor. Fokko has close contacts with private equity firms, having closed deals with Parcom, H2, IK, NIBC Anders Invest and Antea, to name a few. Prior to joining Oaklins Netherlands in 2004, Fokko worked in mergers and acquisitions at Rabobank. A graduate of Erasmus University Rotterdam, he has an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in Japanese, and is a chartered financial analyst (CFA).
