Bio

Ross is a partner at Oaklins E. Canada and is based in Toronto. He has more than 30 years of experience in advising clients on acquisitions & divestitures, management buy-outs and raising capital (debt and equity). In particular, he has extensive experience in providing objective strategic advice to shareholders and management teams of entrepreneurial and family-owned enterprises. Having advised clients across a very diverse range of industries over the course of his career, Ross’ key areas of expertise are in the industrials and capital goods sectors, especially with respect to construction services and building products. Prior to joining Oaklins E. Canada, Ross was the executive vice president of finance & corporate development as well as acting CFO of one of Canada’s largest supply and install building products contractors. Before that, he was a managing director at Duff & Phelps Securities Canada, co-head of Scotiabank’s mid-market capital advisors group and a partner in two investment banking/corporate finance advisory boutiques. His professional advisory career began in KPMG’s corporate finance practice after qualifying as a chartered accountant in the audit practice. Ross graduated with an HBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University.
