James is a managing director at Alexander Hutton, Oaklins’ member firm in Seattle. He also leads Oaklins’ water filtration team and is a member of Oaklins’ debt advisory team. James has 14 years’ experience in the water filtration business, having worked at HaloSource, Inc. as CEO, CFO, general manager and SVP of business development. He led the company’s US$80million IPO in 2010 and sold the company to Strix, PLC in 2019. Prior to HaloSource, James spent eight years doing sell-side M&A and venture capital investing at Alexander Hutton. James received his BBA from Gonzaga University’s School of Business and his MBA in Entrepreneurship from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington. Prior to business school, James had financial analyst roles at Continental Bank and Security Capital Group in Chicago.
