Bio

Gerbrand is a partner at Oaklins Netherlands. With more than 25 years’ experience in listed equities, he leads Oaklins’ ECM team. Actively involved in raising equity growth capital for non-listed growth companies, he has completed a large number of IPOs and equity capital market transactions, such as Avantium’s IPO and accelerated bookbuild offering. He also initiated and executed Dutch Star Companies ONE (€55 million), which resulted in a business combination with CM.com and Dutch Star Companies TWO (€110 million). Gerbrand started his career in 1993 as an institutional equity salesman. He has worked for ABN AMRO, ABN AMRO Rothschild, Morgan Stanley and ING. As deal leader for various ECM transactions at ABN AMRO Rothschild and later as head of equities at ABN AMRO and ING, he gained extensive experience in originating, structuring and executing a variety of equity and equity capital market transactions. Gerbrand has an MBA from the University of Groningen and was a tank platoon commander in the Dutch army.
