Bio

Russell King is owner of The Oak Ridge Financial Services Group, Inc. through its holding Company. He acquired Oak Ridge in November 2015. Mr. King is also owner and President of King Capital Corporation, a privately held investment firm located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The firm manages both active and passive investments in a wide variety of public and private companies, investment funds and limited partnerships. Mr. King also owns direct investments in more than 20 private companies in the medical device and technology industries. Mr. King serves on the Board of Directors of one of these, NimbeLink, Inc., an “Internet of Things” (IOT) company, based in Plymouth, Minnesota. Prior to purchasing Oak Ridge, Mr. King was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Community Resource Bank, a $230 million community bank located in Northfield, MN. Prior to joining King Capital in 2006, Mr. King spent almost 20 years in the Minneapolis investment banking community at Oak Ridge Financial, Dougherty & Co., and as principal in his own firm, Russell King Financial LLC. Mr. King also serves on several non-profit boards of directors including serving as Chairman and President of the Peter J. King Family Foundation and as a Board Member of Totino Grace High School in Fridley, Minnesota, his alma mater. Mr. King previously served as Chairman of the Board of United Hospital Foundation and Chairman of the Board of the Salvation Army Twin Cities Advisory Board. Mr. King holds a Master's of Science in Management with a concentration in Finance from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
