Bio

Mick has over 30 years of investment banking experience in the Mining & Metals sector. Prior to co-founding NRG Capital Partners, he led the CIBC EMEA Mining Team and was a member of the European Business and Deal Committees. Mick has led and been involved in some of largest mergers, acquisitions and fundraisings in the mining sector and holds strong relationships across the sector. He has extensive capital markets experience in the natural resources sector having been at 2 global investment banks, CIBC and HSBC. Mick has also worked as a mining engineer and has 8 years of managerial experience in precious and base metals operations, including section manager positions at Kloof Gold Mine and Konkola Copper Mine. Recently, Mick served as a Non-Executive Director on the board of Banro Corporation. Mick holds a MBA from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa and a BSc from Nottingham University in Mining & Geology.
