Shaman Bakshi Bio

Mr. Bakshi brings over 20 years of experience in structured finance, mergers & acquisitions, financial management and operations. Prior to joining Montminy & Co., he served in both CFO and COO transaction-focused posts within six private companies successfully undergoing sale transactions. Over the last 15 years he has structured equity and senior/mezzanine debt for a diverse range of industries, including Manufacturing, Retail, Gaming, Healthcare, Tech & Media, and Real Estate, leading originations that committed over $20 billion in financing for GE Capital clients. As Senior Managing Director at General Electric Capital Corporation, he played a key role in leading Private Equity and Corporate Finance initiatives across multiple sectors. Mr. Bakshi’s career began as an internal auditor at General Electric, where he excelled in driving significant cost reductions, saving the company $750 million, and enhancing operating efficiency. His success in this role led him to become a Senior Audit Manager, where he gained recognition within the executive office under then-Chairman and CEO Jack Welch. Mr. Bakshi was entrusted with leading several billion-dollar transactions, including major deals within GE Healthcare in Europe, GE Aircraft Engines, GE Infrastructure, NBCUniversal, and the Antares Capital acquisition for GE Capital. Mr. Bakshi holds an MBA in Finance from the Anderson School of Business at UCLA, graduating with Highest Distinction, and a Summa Cum Laude undergraduate degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.
