John Colella is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he focuses on advising clients in the power and utility sectors. Mr. Colella has nearly 15 years of investment banking experience, during which he has advised some of the largest global power and utility clients on critical strategic and capital raising transactions. Over the course of his career, Mr. Colella has covered clients across several energy sectors including electric, water and gas utilities as well as independent power producers and renewable energy companies. He has extensive experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, restructuring and bankruptcy transactions. Mr. Colella was most recently a Managing Director at JP Morgan covering power and utility clients. Prior to joining JP Morgan in 2007, Mr. Colella was a member of the Global Utilities Group at UBS Investment Bank. Mr. Colella holds a B.A. from Rutgers College and an M.B.A. from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University, where he was a Park Leadership Fellow.
