Mr. Barbieri serves as Chief Operating Officer for Mergers & Acquisitions Services and is responsible for internal and external financial reporting and operations. In addition, Mr. Barbieri also serves as Chief Executive Officer and Financial Operations Principal (FinOp) of Merger & Acquisition Capital Services, LLC, the firms broker-dealer where his responsibilities include compliance with applicable net capital, recordkeeping and other financial and operational rules of the broker-dealer. Mr. Barbieri has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, primarily at Gen Re (a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway). At Gen Re he advanced to Vice President of Global Finance, where his responsibilities included U.S. GAAP reporting/ consolidation, Sarb/Ox, auditor relations, global budgeting/ forecasting, cash management and team building. Mr. Barbieri is recognized as a subject-matter expert in the application and interpretation of complex accounting and financial reporting standards, in accordance with the FASB and the SEC. Mr. Barbieri is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics and was a two time All American Diver. He earned a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of New Haven and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). He currently holds the following FINRA licenses; Investment Banking Representative (Series 79), Financial and Operations Principal (Series 27), the Uniform Securities State Agent (Series 63), and General Securities Principal (Series 24).
