Maurizio Carfagna graduated in Engineering from the Politecnico university in Milan, In a 25-year career in the banking sector (including 10 years in management), he worked for a variety of international banks including Chase Manhattan Bank, Midland and Banca Internazionale Lombarda, in all sectors and in Italy and elsewhere (New York and Madrid). He served as Deputy Chairman of HSBC Italia SGR S.p.A. and then, from 2002 to 2006, as Deputy Chairman of UBS Italia S.p.A. He also served as Director of Mediolanum S.p.A. from 2007 to 2014, and as Director of Banca Mediolanum S.p.A. from 2009 to 2014.
