Tengku Ariff Azhar Tengku Mohamed was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Maybank Investment Bank Berhad on 28 October 2024. He was earlier appointed Officer-in-Charge on 3 January 2024 while serving as Chief Operating Officer since 1 December 2021. In his role as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, he will support the Chief Executive Officer of Maybank Investment Bank Berhad in managing client relationships effectively, ensuring the offering of comprehensive solutions, and overseeing the Investment Management business of the bank. A seasoned investment banker with more than 20 years' working experience in the capital markets including stints with the Securities Commission Malaysia, Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad and Khazanah Nasional Berhad, he has an extensive track record in deal origination, structuring and execution, specialising in an array of debt capital markets products. Previously, he was Head of Debt Capital Markets where he led a number of award winning-transactions for Maybank Investment Bank Berhad and in his role as Chief Operating Officer, he oversaw significant system enhancements for the retail brokerage business culminating in the a launch of the new Maybank Trade MY mobile application. Tengku Ariff holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Syracuse University, New York.
