Tengku Ariff Azhar bin Tengku Mohamed was appointed as Chief Operating Officer of Maybank Investment Bank on 1 December 2021. He is responsible for overseeing the Investment Management pillar which encompasses Investment Management products and Client Solutions. With more than 20 years’ working experience in the capital markets including stints with the Securities Commission Malaysia, Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad and Khazanah Nasional Berhad, he has an extensive track record in deal origination, structuring and execution, specialising in an array of debt capital markets products. Previously, he was Head, Debt Capital Markets where he led a number of award winning-transactions for Maybank Investment Bank. Tengku Ariff holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Syracuse University, New York and a Capital Markets Services Representative’s Licence issued by the Securities Commission Malaysia.
