Courtney Ferrara joined MarshBerry in 2014 and currently serves as a Director in the Financial Advisory division where she oversees and manages MarshBerry’s valuation and buy side advisory (due diligence) consulting practices. She drives execution of strategic initiatives to meet departmental goals and collaborates with clients on numerous projects within these practices. Courtney has extensive experience in financial analysis, merger and acquisitions (M&A), insurance agency and brokerage valuations, buy side due diligence, compensation consulting and ownership perpetuation plans, including MarshBerry’s proprietary iCAP (Integrated Continuity Alignment Plan) solution. Courtney has also spent a number of years facilitating strategic issues groups (SIG’s) within MarshBerry’s executive peer exchange network, Connect. She is a frequent contributor to a variety of industry publications and MarshBerry’s daily blog, Today’s ViewPoint, published for insurance agents and brokers in the insurance brokerage and financial services markets. Prior to joining MarshBerry, Courtney was a Partner and Research Associate at Cleveland Research Company, a sell side equity research firm in Cleveland, Ohio, where she covered industrial distribution and heavy machinery sectors and earned her Series 86 & 87 FINRA registrations (inactive). Courtney holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Notre Dame and has also passed the CFA Level I Exam. In addition, she holds the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) certification and is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuations Analysts. She currently maintains the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE®) Exam, in addition to the Series 7, 79 and 63 FINRA Registrations through MarshBerry Capital, LLC, the affiliated FINRA-registered Broker/Dealer of Marsh, Berry & Co., LLC.
