Sarah Lucas joined Marsh, Berry & Co., Inc. (“MarshBerry”) in 2006 as a Financial Analyst. She was promoted to Consultant in 2009, Senior Consultant in 2011, Vice President in 2013, and Senior Vice President in 2018. Sarah is a key contributor to the merger & acquisition and consulting practices of MarshBerry. Her primary responsibilities include merger and acquisition valuation and analysis, due diligence, document review, deal negotiation, integration planning and intangible asset valuation. Sarah is also the Due Diligence Practice Leader for MarshBerry. On the consulting side, Sarah performs agency valuations, consulting projects such as business planning, perpetuation planning and operational reviews, and other financial management consulting. She has also led the firm’s efforts in the research and development of models for the valuation of intangible assets, including personal goodwill. Sarah is a frequent contributor to MarshBerry’s proprietary publication, CounterPoint, as well as other insurance industry publications, and is a speaker at association meetings and other insurance industry events. Sarah currently maintains the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE®) Exam, in addition to the Series 62, 79 and 63 FINRA Registrations through MarshBerry Capital, Inc., the affiliated FINRA-registered Broker/Dealer of Marsh, Berry & Co., Inc. Sarah is a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and holds the CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst) accreditation. Sarah is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA). Prior to joining MarshBerry, Sarah held a commercial credit portfolio management and underwriting position with Merrill Lynch Business Financial Services. Sarah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Michigan State University and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Grand Valley State University.
