Geoff Paul is Managing Director, Head of Equity Capital Markets, covering both public and private equity placements at Marathon Capital. Mr. Paul has over 15 years of experience having raised over $100 billion across 275+ transactions for clients in the energy space. He was most recently Managing Director, Head of Natural Resources Equity Capital Markets with Deutsche Bank where he focused on the origination and execution of equity offerings for energy sector clients including companies in the oil & gas, midstream/infrastructure, power & utility and alternative energy sub-sectors. Prior to Deutsche Bank, he worked for 12 years at J.P. Morgan as Managing Director and Co-Head of Energy Equity Capital Markets. Mr. Paul has also held positions with Ford Motor Company and Morgan Stanley. Mr. Paul has led some of the Natural Resources sector’s most significant equity offerings over the past decade including the largest U.S. Natural Resources equity offering in history for Mosaic and the largest exploration & production IPO in history for Antero Resources. He has executed private placements across the alternative energy and infrastructure sectors including a tri-tranche public and private equity placement for Dominion Energy Midstream, a $580 million PIPE for Energy Transfer Equity, and a $403 million pre-IPO private placement for TerraForm Global. Mr. Paul received his BA in History and Psychology from Bowdoin College and his MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He holds his Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.
