Cass Heckman, Chief Compliance Officer, is based in Marathon Capital’s Chicago office. For two decades, Cass has enhanced how asset managers, hedge funds, private equity groups, and futures commodities merchants manage change across the regulatory landscape and build forward-thinking compliance programs. Most recently, she led the transformation of the compliance and risk governance framework at Harbor Capital Advisors, integrating new technology platforms and strategic partnerships to better support a $59 billion AUM portfolio. Prior to that role, Cass helped GCM Grosvenor navigate regulatory and operational risk within its Strategic Investments Group’s direct and co-investments. Opportunities spanned asset classes, liquidity profiles, capital structure, and geographies within a specialized alternative investment portfolio totaling over $50 billion in AUM. Cass holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Boston University. She also holds a Series 14 license.
