Shilpa Menon is Senior Director, India. Based in Mumbai, Shilpa is responsible for LCR’s growth in India, including expanding and managing LCR’s channel partnerships and deepening LCR’s engagement with existing clients and prospects in the region. Shilpa has around 12 years of industry experience across wealth management, investment banking, financial writing and content marketing. Prior to joining LCR, she was Vice President, Products & Advisory at Avendus Wealth Management in India, where she oversaw the firm’s global investment products category for HNIs. As part of this role, she led a greenfield project to build the firm’s maiden offshore investment platform. She also donned several other hats at Avendus, including leading the division’s content and marketing efforts and supporting the CEO’s office in strategic initiatives. Shilpa started her career as an investment banking analyst at Nomura’s India office (erstwhile Lehman Brothers), working on deals in the Asia ex Japan M&A and Financial Sponsors space. In a few years, she took on the role of Team Supervisor, focusing on the day-to-day management, staffing, training and development of the 40+ IB analyst pool there, before she decided to take a parenting sabbatical. During her sabbatical, Shilpa briefly dabbled in freelance financial training and writing, preparing learning resources and conducting training sessions for CFA aspirants. She also earned her editing and content marketing stripes at Mindworks Global Media, an Indian content solutions firm.
