Mike Weitz Bio

Mike Weitz is a Managing Director in the Restructuring & Liability Management Group at Lazard and has advised companies, creditors, and sponsors in a variety of liability management, restructuring, capital raising, merger and acquisition, and corporate finance assignments in a wide range of industries. Prior to joining Lazard, Mr. Weitz worked at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in the Restructuring Group. He frequently serves as a panelist on restructuring and distressed debt-related topics at various industry events and as a guest lecturer at Berkeley Law School, the University of Chicago Law School and Booth School of Business, and Wharton Business School. Mr. Weitz received a BA from Louisiana State University and a JD from the University of Chicago Law School.
