Steve has been an investment banker for 25 years with almost two decades covering the broader cloud, IT and communications market. Prior to forming Layer 7 Capital, Steve was a Managing Director at The Bank Street Group, a boutique investment bank covering the TMT sector. During Steve’s career, he has completed hundreds of transactions for both Fortune 500 clients as well as early-stage businesses owned by founders. His past transactions and clients include companies in cloud consulting, SaaS enablement, data centers, fiber networks, managed services, software and tech-enabled services sectors. Early in his career, Steve worked at The Carlyle Group, Banc of America, Merrill Lynch and US Bancorp Libra. Steve began his career as a lawyer at Fried Frank in New York City. Steve graduated from U.C. Berkeley and received his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
