John Baumgartner serves as Head of Capital Markets and is a member of the Firm’s Operating and Capital Commitment Committee. John oversees the marketing, pricing, and distribution of all of the Firm’s capital raising activities. John has considerable transaction experience including the successful completion of more than 300 IPOs, follow-on offerings, block trades, and private placements. His extensive client relationships include working with growth companies across a variety of sectors and industries, as well as private equity funds and institutional investors focused on the middle market. Prior to joining Lake Street, John oversaw Equity Capital Markets (ECM) at both Stephens, Inc. and Robert W. Baird. He began his career in ECM at Piper Jaffray in 1999. John holds a BA in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management.
