Joseph is a Managing Director and Co-Head of the firm’s TMT Investment Banking Practice, and leads the firm’s team in the Communication Systems and Technologies sector. Joseph is located in the Chicago office. His focus includes Internet of Things, Connected Car/AutoTech, Smart City, Unified Communications (UCaaS), Industrial Internet and communication networks software and hardware. Over his nearly thirty years of investment banking and strategic advisory experience, Joseph has worked as a trusted advisor with his clients in closing more than 115 transactions including merger, acquisition, divestiture, equity and debt capital formation, public offering, recapitalization, international/cross-border and strategic advisory assignments. He has worked with clients ranging from emerging innovators to large, multinational industry leaders. Joseph brings over 30 years of investment banking experience including his time as a Partner at St. Charles Capital (acquired by KPMG), where he led the firm’s Communication Systems and Technologies team. Previously, he served as Managing Director in the Global Investment Banking group at RBC Capital Markets where he led the Communication Technologies practice and held leadership positions including Global Head of Communication Technologies, Head of Semiconductors, and Head of Hardware Technologies. Joseph holds an MSc with Honors from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and a MBA and BA Finance from the University of St Thomas in St Paul MN.
