Alex is a Managing Director for KPMG Corporate Finance LLC, and is the Head of the Financial Institutions and Financial Technology teams. Alex is located in the San Francisco office. Alex provides M&A advisory (buy-side & sell-side), private capital raising and capital structure advisory services to public and private companies across financial technology, securities brokerage, wealth and asset management and the specialty finance industries. Sector expertise includes card and mobile payments, money transfer, securities trading and processing, market data and risk analytics, RIA and institutional asset management, retail and institutional brokers and consumer finance. Alex has 20 years of experience providing investment banking services, including M&A Advisory, capital markets expertise across a broad range of public and private equity and debt markets to clients spanning multiple sectors of the technology-enabled and traditional financial services industries. Prior to joining KPMG, he served as the Head of Financial Technology at Sterne, Agee & Leach, one of the largest employee-owned investment banks in the United States. Previously, he served as Executive Director at UBS Securities, Co-Head of Financial Technology at JMP Securities, and Principal at Banc of America Securities. Alex began his career focusing on M&A for financial services firms and the nascent technology-enabled financial services industry at Putnam Lovell Securities. Alex holds a B.S. in Finance and International Business from Georgetown University.
