Andrew is Vice President, Special Situations at Kingsdale Advisors and is responsible for strategy development and execution for clients facing contested or hostile situations. He joined Kingsdale in 2022 after a decade long career in federal and provincial politics and serves as the Head of the Special Situations Team at the firm. Andrew specializes in solving complex problems and providing solutions that help our clients win. Andrew’s select special situation and transaction experience at Kingsdale includes acting for First Capital REIT in its defence against multiple activist investors and in Glencore Canada Corporation’s successful acquisition of Noranda Income Fund through a plan of arrangement. Before joining Kingsdale, Andrew was Deputy Chief of Staff and Head of Policy to the Premier of Ontario where he oversaw the development and implementation of the Government’s policy agenda including its response to the COVID-19 pandemic and its aftershocks. He also served as Chief of Staff to Ontario’s Minister of Finance playing a leadership role in the delivery of multiple provincial Budgets and the Capital Markets Modernization Task Force Report. Andrew holds a B.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University where he graduated with honours.
